1) There are various types of products that Yuka does not rate because they are very specific products for which no rating method exists:
- Alcohol
- Sugar
- Infant formula
- Protein supplements
- Pet food
- Nutritional supplements
2) In addition, there are some food products that Yuka cannot rate for various reasons:
- Products in another language: those products have lists of ingredients that are in a language other than English, Spanish, German, Italian or French.
- Products sold by weight (cut-to-size products, deli foods, etc.): which have a specific bar code for weight that's not unique and does not allow the product to be identified.
- Products with no listed nutritional value: nutritional values (calories, sugar, salt, protein, fiber, saturated fat) are essential for calculating scores.
