Benoit (on the left) is 40 years old and is a graduate of the ESDES Business School. After his studies, he spent ten years working in purchasing in the insurance and banking industries. When he decided to start Yuka with his brother, François, and Julie, he started out managing the accounting and financial aspects of the project. However, that was not very interesting to him. He wanted to take advantage of this new adventure to learn about a subject which has long interested him: coding. So he took online courses and began developing the application on Android. Six months later, the application was launched, and Benoit is now responsible for its continued evolution on Android.
François (center) is 35 years old. He earned his degree from the ECE (Ecole Centrale d'Electronique), an engineering school. Not convinced by his experience working in a large company, he decided upon graduation to start the web agency Kiliweb with two friends. He then spent six years developing websites and mobile applications, mainly for entrepreneurs and associations. He's also trained in design, which allows him to manage a product's development from A to Z. After six years of developing websites and mobile applications for other projects, he decided to put his skills to work on his own project by embarking upon the Yuka adventure.
Julie (on the right) is also 35 years old. She earned her degree from the EDHEC Business School. Not really knowing what she wanted to do after graduation, she decided to join Wavestone (a consulting firm) in order to learn more about various business sectors and develop her skills. She spent five years helping businesses with their digital transformations. Over the years, she was increasingly drawn to working on a meaningful project when she participated in a hackathon with François and Benoit. This was the trigger. Six months later, she left and started working full time on the project shortly thereafter.
